Map and Landmark Orientation
Learn a practical method for finding roads, the customization area, neighborhood, activity zones, and return routes.
Build a Mental Map
Instead of memorizing every turn at once, choose a few dependable anchors: your spawn area, the customization shop, the nearby neighborhood, a main road, and one activity destination.
Scout Before Hauling
Drive unfamiliar routes without a trailer first. Note narrow entrances, sharp grades, deep terrain, and safe places to turn around. This is especially important for campers, boats, and equipment loads.
Landmark Method
- Leave from a known anchor.
- Follow one main road at a time.
- Record distinctive buildings or terrain changes.
- Identify a safe turnaround point.
- Repeat the route in reverse.
Plan Activity Loops
A useful session loop connects a preparation point, activity area, and return route. For example: customization shop → road test → trail or mud area → neighborhood meetup.
Map Changes
The official July 18 update placed a new neighborhood near the customization shop. Future updates may change landmarks or access, so verify routes in the current game before moving a large trailer.
