牽引・トレーラーセットアップガイド

ヒッチ間隔、旋回、制動、ルートをテストし、扱いやすい牽引セットを作ります。

Match the Rig to the Trailer

Start with the trailer's purpose: camper, boat, equipment, tiny house, or another load. Choose a tow vehicle that gives you room to turn and enough control for the intended route.

Connection Check

Line up slowly on level ground. After connecting, inspect the hitch area and make a wide, gentle turn. Watch for the trailer contacting the tow vehicle or clipping sharply at the connection.

Empty-Lot Test

  • Accelerate smoothly and stop in a straight line.
  • Turn both directions at low speed.
  • Reverse with small steering inputs.
  • Cross one mild bump and check stability.
  • Confirm the complete rig fits the chosen road.

On the Road

Brake earlier, avoid abrupt steering, and leave extra room around obstacles. Scout narrow trails without the trailer before committing the full combination.

Recovery Planning

If the combination becomes stuck, identify whether the tow vehicle, trailer, terrain, or route caused the problem. Changing the route is often more effective than adding more modifications.

For recreational and residential loads, continue to campers, RVs, and tiny houses.
